Leasing Agent

We are an **actively growing property management brokerage** that is looking for an dedicated, self-starter, licensed leasing agent to assist us with marketing & leasing of our rental properties in Edmonton & surrounding areas. Due to the amount of growth our company is experiencing, this position will grow to be a full-time Licensed Property Manager position by end of 2025 if not sooner.

**To be successful you need to be open to promoting our services, growing your portfolio** and balancing the needs of property owners with those of tenants including achieving occupancy and rental goals. Top applicants are proficient multitaskers, organized, have strong people skills and sales experience. This is an Independent Contractor position within our brokerage with flexible hours (some evenings/weekends required) & the ability to work from home. **This position includes room to grow and a commission pay structure.**

**Education/ Licensing Requirements**
- **MUST have a valid RECA License in Property Management**:

- **A Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle**

**Leasing Agent Responsibilities**:

- Conducting property showings with prospective tenants.
- Signing of leases

**Property Manager Responsibilities**:

- **Meeting with prospective landlords to provide a rental evaluation of their property & an overview of our services.**:

- Recording and updating details of prospective and existing landlords and tenants into the property management software swiftly.
- Examining properties and coordinating maintenance with appropriate vendor and working with our property administrator on maintenance follow up
- Create Advertising descriptions on available properties
- Conducting property showings with prospective tenants.
- Drafting and completing lease agreements with approved tenants
- Completing Move In, Move Out & Midterm Inspections
- Maintaining and storing documentation effectively

**Skills and Qualifications Needed**
- Minimum of 1 Year Experience in Rental Property Management in Alberta
- Minimum of 1 Year Sales Experience & Public speaking/presentation
- Intermediate knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act of Alberta & Other applicable legislation
- Advanced technology & computer skills, such as previous experience with VOIP, remote desktop, phone apps, outlook quick parts & calendar.
- Previous experience with Property Management Software Rent Manager is preferred.
- Superior Organizational Skills
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Available to work flexible and/or extended hours. (Some weekends required)
- Ability to travel to rental properties & easily adapt to the fast paced hustle that comes with managing rentals.
