**About the Opportunity**:
York Hills is currently seeking a Child and Youth Care Worker to join one of our two Live-In Treatment teams located in Aurora & Queensville, Ontario.

This is an ideal opportunity for Child and Youth Care Workers whom are interested and experienced in working with children with emotional and behaviour challenges in a home milieu setting.

Under the direction of the Live-in Treatment Program Manager and Coordinator, the Child and Youth Care Worker will work as a member of a Multi-Disciplinary Team in planning, implementation, and ongoing assessment of clinical treatment plans and client family needs.

- Demonstrate flexibility to work a variety of shifts that will include weekends, and may include overnight shifts.
- Commit to upholding the organization’s mission, values and standards.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team model utilizing a variety of interventions, skills in milieu counselling, assessment and treatment group work.
- Actively participate in a learning environment.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, time management and writing skills
- Have knowledge of Trauma-informed practice, child development, and CYC Relational practice.
- Have knowledge of child and youth mental disorders and symptoms, and possess skills in a variety of child mental health treatment strategies and interventions.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communications skills.
- Demonstrate observation and assessment skills with respect to client mental health, crisis prevention, and responding to clients needs in the moment.
- Demonstrate ability and interest in engaging in outdoor activities with clients.

**Qualifications**:

- A Child and Youth Care Worker Diploma/Degree (CYW, CYC, CYCBA)
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in milieu settings with children and youth.
- A clear Vulnerable Sector Screening that permits working with children.
- A valid driver’s abstract and license, with access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate liability insurance.
- Second language is an asset but not required.
