**Job description**

New Glasgow Veterinary Clinic is a progressive, community veterinary clinic looking for a full time veterinary receptionist to join our team.

We are seeking an individual that is self-motivated, people-oriented and fast-learning.

Pay rate will be dependent on experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide friendly, quality client service.
- Answering and operate a multiple phone line system.
- Scheduling appointments and triaging urgent care.
- Greet clients in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.
- Collect client fees, process payments and run end of day transactions.
- Gain knowledge of products sold and answer questions concerning products purchased/used.
- Enter data into practice management software.
- Perform a variety of clerical duties.
- Work well with all employees and ensure that your actions support the hospital, doctors and the practice philosophy.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
- Ability to communicate and handle high-stress situations while maintaining a professional manner.

Lifting pets or product up to 25kg may be involved.
