**Role Description**

This is a **part time** leading to a **Part-time or full-time **on-site role for a **Medical Office Assistan**t at Genesis Walk-In and Family Clinic located in Georgetown, ON. The Medical Office Assistant will be responsible for various administrative tasks such as **answering phones**, **scheduling appointments**, verifying medical coverage, and providing **assistance to the doctors **as well as the healthcare team. The Medical Office Assistant will also support the clinic in ensuring a **positive patient experience**.

**Qualifications**
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Experience in appointment scheduling
- Sound knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy and knowledge of electronic health records systems
- Experience working in a medical office or related field is an asset
- Completion of Medical Office Administration or related diploma/certificate is an asset

Minimum two (2) year experience in a medical office setting as well as experience in assisting with minor procedures.

Oscar EMR knowledge is an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- community clinic: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- CPR Certification (preferred)
- Phlebotomy Certification (preferred)
