Position: Medical Office Assistant

Location: On-site in Georgetown, ON

Job Type: Part-time, with potential to become full-time

Role Overview

We are looking for a Medical Office Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will handle administrative duties such as answering phones, booking appointments, verifying insurance, and supporting doctors and clinical staff. You'll play a key role in creating a positive experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls and manage appointment scheduling
  • Verify health coverage and maintain patient records
  • Assist physicians and healthcare team with clinic operations
  • Ensure smooth patient flow and a welcoming environment

Qualifications

  • Strong phone and customer service skills
  • Experience scheduling appointments and working in a fast-paced setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems (Oscar EMR is a plus)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office, including assisting with minor procedures
