**Spring Position**
The purpose of this spring position is to provide the student with a valuable learning experience and the tools to help progress in their program through a work term with EllisDon. The summer work term would be from the beginning of May to the end of August or December depending if you are available for a 4 month or 8 month work term working on various projects in the Vancouver area in construction.

**You as a Health, Safety & Environmental Co-op Student**:

- Help organize safety orientation, job site inspections and accident/injury reports
- Monitor employees and subcontractors on site to ensure compliance to safety procedures and escalate issues to resolution
- Proactively identify and prevent hazardous situations and take necessary measures to correct them
- Organize training programs including but not limited to: WHMIS, Fall Protection, Personal Protection Equipment, CPR/First Aid
- Create, maintain, and educate all site staff on maintaining a safety first culture

**Is this the right role for you?**
- Currently enrolled in an Occupational Health & Safety Program or similar field
- Level 1 or 2 First Aid is an asset
- You have the ability to delegate and influence others to follow safety rules and regulations
