Overview
We’re looking for a **Co-op Student, Investment Management** to work in the Investment Management Department and support our Investment Analyst.
**Where you’ll work**
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a model that combines the convenience of some remote work with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.
In this role, you’ll work three or more days a week in our Richmond office.
What you'll do
- On Day 1 in this role, you will get a chance to meet your manager and get acquainted with your team. You will spend time setting up administrative and technological essentials, and completing onboarding tasks, including security and payroll setup.
- During your first week you will engage in a comprehensive onboarding program designed to equip you for success. You will be partnering and meeting with your manager to discuss your goals and align them with the team’s vision. Additionally, you will learn how our department contributes to the overall business strategy and supports the organization’s mandate. You will also work through the onboarding program alongside your supervisor for added guidance and support.
- Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Assist in preparation of investment reports
- Assist in analyzing/checking data from external providers
- Assist in the monthly financial reporting process
- Assist in ad-hoc project as assigned, e.g., banking, insurance

**Your background and experience**
- **Currently enrolled in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce or Accounting related program**:
- Previous work experience in an analytical/analyst role in investments or financial accounting is an asset
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite, especially Excel and Word

- Confirm you’re legally entitled to work in Canada
- Confirm you’re a registered student at a post-secondary institution and participating in a work integrated learning program with your studies
