Founded in 1925, VHA is a not-for-profit, charitable organization made up of over 3,000 diverse professionals - nurses, personal support workers, rehab therapists, home support workers, extreme cleaners, and office support staff. Together, we provide high quality care, with great heart, to vulnerable populations in the communities we serve. This includes seniors, families, new parents, newborn babies, people with physical and mental disabilities, children with medically complex needs, and the terminally ill. We provide service 24 hours a day, seven days a week to clients in their homes, in schools, in retirement homes and other locations in the community.

**Health Services Scheduling Coordinator, Strategic Solutions & Partnerships**
**Permanent Full-time**
**Monday to Friday: 1:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.**
**What is the job?**
As a Health Services Scheduling Coordinator in the Strategic Solutions & Partnerships, you will help our clients maintain their independence and brighten their day by fielding client calls and ensuring their services are scheduled in a timely manner. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, communicating with clients, families, funders and clients’ Health Care Teams including Personal Support Workers, Nurses, and Rehabilitation Service Providers. You will provide coordination and operational support to multiple initiatives and programs under SS&P team. This includes providing information to customers inquiring about private services, accepting new clients referrals, carrying out service changes and maintaining client service plans.
**KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND BEHAVIOURS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION**:
- Relevant university or college degree or commensurate experience in a customer service setting
- Knowledge of home health care services and past experience in a healthcare organization/agency setting preferred
- Experience in an administrative position that required extensive scheduling/multitasking
- Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate with (both internal and external) customer with confidence, fairness and a passion for creating a positive customer experience with a family-centered approach
- Ability to multi-task and problem-solve independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership of deliverables
- Highly organized, ability to prioritize tasks and flexible to accommodate changing demands
- High degree of attention to detail
- Experience with GoldCare or other health information database will be an asset
- Ability to support field staff working with clients and clearly communicate tasks and duties
- Creative thinker with the ability to come up with outside-the-box solutions to challenging problems
**Satisfactory completion of technical skills testing is required.**

A fully vaccinated person means you have received all required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine series approved by Health Canada or the World Health Organization, at least 14 days prior to your start date and you will need to provide proof by submitting a copy of your Ministry of Health COVID-19 Vaccine Dose Administration Receipts or government vaccination passport. VHA Home HealthCare will consider cases needing accommodation as stipulated by the Ontario Human Rights Code. In the event that you are unable to be vaccinated as a result of a ground protected under the Human Rights Code, you may submit a request for accommodation with an explanation of the ground and/or any supporting documentation to assist in the determination of exemption from this condition.
