Special Needs Caregiver

**L'Etoile de Pacho** is a support network of parents with **children with special needs** who combined their knowledge and experience to help other parents in similar situations. We offer personalized support services to help parents by sharing our experiences, resources, and journey.
**We are looking for a trustworthy and compassionate caregiver to provide home care to a 4-year-old girl with special needs.**
**Schedule**:
- **TEMPORARY contract**, till the end of August
- **1 shift in the morning during the weekdays, from 9am to 12am** (must be Tuesdays or wednesdays or Thursdays depending on the caregiver availability) **+ **occasional additional hours depending on the medical appointments
- **A TOTAL OF 6 HOURS/WEEK** (3 regular hours + **up to 3** aditional hours/week, so potentially 6 working hours/week during 2 months)
**Tasks description**:
- Play with the little girl on the floor
- Change diapers
- Give her her lunch (no cooking required)
- Go for a stroll or stay in the park next to the Royal Victoria hospital while the mum is at her appointment
- Maintain a healthy, secure, and comfortable environment;
- Use the adapted material for different types of stimulation;
**Qualifications**:
- experience with children (skills to create learning activities for her)
- A high degree of tolerance, empathy, and patience
- Excellent opportunity for students in the following fields: educational training, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, early childhood education.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months
Part-time hours: 3-6 per week
**Salary**: $19.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
