Food Service Worker

Preference will be given to individuals who are certified or are currently enrolled/_willing _to enroll in the _Food Service Workers _from a recognized institution; and/or have successfully completed their Food Handlers Certificate from Public Health Unit and is current; Full Covid Vaccination. **_STUDENT Friendly _**(18+ only require Public Health Food Handler Certificate)
- **_DUTIES _**include: setting/clearing dining tables, portioning food selections from steamtable for residents as outlined; preparing beverage cart with coffee/tea, snacks; warewashing, garbage/laundry removal, sweeping, mopping
- Must be able to read, write and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must demonstrate proper food preparation and presentation for a variety of cultural preferences.
- Must be knowledgeable about the Long-Term Care Act
- Must be knowledgeable of special, therapeutic, and texture modified diets
- Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand for majority of shift.
- Must be able to work accurately, quickly, and safely.
- Must be an effective team player that works well with others.
- Must be able to work and communicate effectively with long-term care residents.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 22.5-30 per week

**Salary**: From $16.16 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:

Frequent sanitation of all high touch areas performed regularly throughout the day.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Georgetown, ON L7G 6G9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Public Health Food Handler Certificate (required)
- Food Service Worker Certificate or willing to enroll (required)
