**The gig.**
Q4 is a team of creators, builders, and disruptors who specialize in solutions for investor relations. We develop products that are constantly evolving, solving problems, and pushing the boundaries of what technology can do for capital markets. Our products are built from scratch and leverage the strengths of every developer and team member at Q4.
The Virtual Events Team is responsible for the creation and production of client webcasts and conference calls. Leveraging a combination of Q4 and vendor technology, the team produces thousands of events per year. It is imperative that the team is run with our excellence in customer service as our primary focus.
The Manager of Events will play a lead role in managing the components of Q4’s Virtual Event offering, in conjunction with the Events Architect, to deliver a world class customer experience.
Key programs and responsibilities will involve Sales, Marketing, Client Success, Product, Business Operations, Finance, Sales Operations and Product.
This role will require a base knowledge of Business acumen including capital markets & Q4 Products, Technical understanding and Finance/planning. The expectation is for these core areas to be continual learning.
This role reports to the Director, Client Operations
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage the day to day work of a given squad within the Virtual Events Team
- Hire, onboard and train new team members
- Provide coaching, feedback and direction to the squad. Conduct annual performance evaluations. Manage underperforming members as needed
- Collaborate with other Managers and the Senior Manager to develop training programs and development opportunities for direct team to elevate skills and knowledge
- Implement rewards and recognition initiatives to promote positive morale and team spirit
- Recommend, Implement and enforce event boundaries and ensure proper team coverage for event requests, while keeping the client experience at the forefront
- Track event issues and client trends in order to measure individual and squad success and report to Senior Management on a quarterly basis to help drive event focus, efficiencies and scale
- Run client event escalations from information gathering to scheduling, follow-ups and tracking
- Manage and resolve client escalations quickly, in coordination with Senior Manager, Virtual Events and other appropriate teams and resources
- Work with other Managers, the Senior Manager and members of the Events Architects team, Support and Client Success teams in key aspects of the evolution of the Q4 service model
- Lead the squad in task planning, along with support from the Senior Manager and Events Architects
- Lead the training of all new Event tools, along with assistance from the Events Architects
- Work with the Events Architects in the creation and improvement of event processes and ensure proper communication
- Hire, train and provide coaching for quarterly Audio Producers. Manage underperformers as necessary
- Manage the day to day work of quarterly Audio Producers, consisting of 4-6 direct reports
- QA the scheduling of all events and event add-ons within a given Squad, such as pre-records, ensuring proper coverage and redundancy measures are in place
- Work with existing event vendors to oversee quality of service and escalate as needed to correct deficiencies
- Provide support in event contract renewals process
- Oversee marketing initiated Sales Programs, developed by Marketing
- Acquire and maintain a strong working knowledge of the Investor Relations industry and keep apprised of its regulations, trends and best practices, especially as it pertains to IR events
- Delegate EM assistance to operational tasks, as requested by the Events Architects
- Ensure EMs stay in close communications with Client Success Team to ensure cross sharing of account information
**Education/ Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in customer facing roles.
