We are currently hiring an Lab Production Supervisor to work in our **Mississauga, Ontario**facility

**Shifts Available: Monday - Friday 10pm - 6:30am**

**What you’ll do**:

- Directly supervises employees. Oversees accomplishment of assigned work through subordinate manufacturing employees.
- Provide guidance by continuously assessing individual and team performance and giving feedback. Promote positive department morale.
- Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Coordinates manpower requirements by increasing or decreasing personnel and approves overtime to meet changing conditions. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
- Work closely with employees to ensure proper training and cross-training is provided to employees on all processes and equipment, and ensure standard operating procedures are followed.
- Reviews and analyzes DVI, Audit, breakage, and key indicator reports determining the cause of quality or production issues. Provide prompt feedback to departments involved to resolve root cause.
- Review customer complaints and explore underlying reason for recurring issues and develop long term solution
- Maintain strong communication and working relationships with other departments leaders within the lab.
- Plan and delegate daily assignments to employees to ensure on-time product delivery.
- Monitor indicators for gaps to target. Analyze gaps for the root cause. Develop countermeasures.Monitor and maintain updated level of inventory for machine parts and consumables

**Qualifications**:

- Optical Lens Training is preferred
- High School Graduate /GED/Diploma or equivalent experience
- Experience with machine operation a must
- MS Office/computer skills an asset
- 3+ years of experience in a lead and/or supervisor role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years in a manufacturing environment preferable Optical industry.
- Basic mathematical skills are considered an asset (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Mechanical skills preferred
