Under the direction of the INHS Program Coordinator, the Research Assistant is responsible for working with Elders and Knowledge Keepers to inform Indigenous Health Studies (INHS). This is a Part Time position working up to 14 hours per week until March 31, 2024.
**Duties**:

- Meet with Elders and Knowledge Keepers in person or remotely
- Gather reading material and other academic documents related to teachings and different ways of knowing
- Review audio and visual recordings and compile information
- Organize information in tables and summaries on a weekly basis
- Attend meetings and cultural events as necessary
- Prepare academic and community-based materials

**Qualifications**:

- Applicants should hold or are working on graduate-level education. Must have good academic skills, be able to work independently, have some cultural knowledge, and be able to work after hours if needed. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Understanding and connection to the Indigenous community.
- Experience working with cultural activities.
- Working knowledge of developing and implementing work processes.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
