The Merchant Operations Coordinator will be a member of the Site Operations team, working closely with both Internal and external partners. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Site Operations: as a member of the Site Operations team, you will specialize in paid placements. Merchants booking marketing placements through our Sales team will work with you to collect creative assets, marketing copy, and more. You will then work with the Site Operations team to ensure all placements run as planned, with a strong focus on flawless execution.-
- Merchant support: our merchants will work with you to collect assets, confirm dates and Cash Back rates, and ensure that all placements run as specified, as well as to troubleshoot any unforeseen issues.- Affiliate network management: you be responsible for ensuring all commission increases, bonus requests, and network IO insertions are in place for promotions and paid placements; troubleshooting and following up with merchants and affiliate networks as necessary- Salesforce: you will be responsible for organizing and maintaining placements sold by the sales team in Salesforce, working with merchants to schedule placement dates, scheduling placements in internal calendars, recording commission increases, and managing inventory and pulling reports in SalesForce- New merchant onboarding: you will work with inbound merchants to collect pertinent info and creative assets, ensuring the timely and accurate creation of new stores on Rakuten.ca. You will coordinate store launches with the Site Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Business Intelligence teams.Site Operations Support- Manage site placements for Site Operations team, ensuring timely delivery and flawless execution- Forward offer/coupon requests to content team- Manage commission change requests for paid placements, schedule/QA Cash Back increases as needed- QA all merchant commission increases for paid weekly/daily promos- Assist as necessary with onboarding of new stores (initial online survey, content, asset collection)- Coordinate French translations and obtain approval for paid placements in French- Confirm the successful execution of paid placements- Manage and maintain Google docs for broader team communication

Account Management- Keep merchants apprised of creative requirements and placement performance-
- Be merchants’ point of contact for requests - coupons, commission increases etc.- Follow up on outstanding signatures for Salesforce IO’s as needed- Book placements in SalesForce as per merchant requests

Reporting- Work with the Business Intelligence team to create reporting by requestAssist with PowerPoint and Quarterly Review deck building and information gathering

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

- Knowledge of GSuite/Google Drive- Ability to negotiate with merchant partners as required- Ability to learn proprietary site merchandising and scheduling tools- Professional-level written and verbal communication skills- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, results-oriented environment- Excellent time management and organization skills

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor’s Degree or higher, or equivalent experience- 0-2 years of coordinator-level experience in online sales and/or merchandising- French language fluency an asset- Hands-on experience with affiliate network systems an asset
