**About the Organization**

**Who is the Policy Officer?**

The Policy Officer is part of Cooperation Canada’s policy team. This team helps connect policy work with the organization’s other goals and activities in a thoughtful and timely way. The Policy Officer plays an important role in supporting a strong and creative network of organizations that believe in social justice and work together for positive change. This role also helps provide clear and useful policy information to support shared action for a more inclusive world.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in policy analysis
- At least two years of relevant work experience
- Bilingual in English and French (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of international development and humanitarian issues, policies, and practices
- Strong skills in research, analysis, and writing
- Excellent interpersonal skills, creativity, and cultural humility
- Strong organizational, facilitation, and coordination abilities
- Capacity to work in-person downtown Ottawa on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Le/La chargé-e des politiques fait partie de l'équipe
des politiques de Coopération Canada. Cette équipe aide à relier le travail sur les politiques aux autres objectifs et activités de l'organisation de manière réfléchie et opportune. Le/La chargé-e des politiques
joue un rôle important dans le soutien d'un réseau solide et créatif d'organisations qui croient en la justice sociale et travaillent ensemble pour un changement positif. Ce rôle contribue également à fournir des informations claires et utiles sur les politiques afin de soutenir une action commune pour un monde plus inclusif.
- Maîtrise dans un domaine pertinent ou expérience équivalente en analyse des politiques
- Au moins deux ans d'expérience professionnelle pertinente
- Bilinguisme anglais-français (écrit et parlé)
- Connaissance des questions, des politiques et des pratiques internationales en matière de développement et d'aide humanitaire
- Solides compétences en recherche, analyse et rédaction
- Excellentes aptitudes relationnelles, créativité et humilité culturelle
- Solides capacités d'organisation, d'animation et de coordination
- Capacité à travailler en personne au centre-ville d'Ottawa les lundis et mardis
