Parking Enforcement Officer

**Overview**
**Duties**
- Patrol designated parking areas to monitor compliance with parking regulations.
- Issue citations for parking violations in accordance with local laws and ordinances.
- Provide information to the public regarding parking rules, regulations, and available services.
- Respond to inquiries and resolve conflicts related to parking issues.
- Maintain accurate records of citations issued and prepare reports as required.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and other city departments as necessary.
- Assist in the development of educational materials to promote awareness of parking regulations.
**Requirements**:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with the public and team members.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in various situations.
- Familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Physical ability to walk long distances and stand for extended periods while patrolling assigned areas.
- A valid driver's license may be required depending on the location of the position.
- High school diploma or equivalent is generally required. This role is essential for ensuring a well-regulated parking environment, contributing positively to community safety and accessibility.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.75-$31.46 per hour
Expected hours: 32 - 44 per week
