Agropur is looking for Production Supervisor - Operational excellence leader to join is Don Mills team.

The Production Supervisor - Operational excellence leader will own a small business unit and drive performance of that area through execution of the operational excellence/lean program.

**What’s involved in this role**

More specifically, the Don Mills Production Supervisor
- Operational excellence leader’s responsibilities will include:

- Comply to corporate food safety and quality standards and strive to continuously improve.
- Comply to corporate safety and health standards and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Define the asset investment requirements for the area of responsibility.
- Manage the execution of mini capital projects.
- Manage short term operational issues in a production environment.
- Track key KPI’s daily, weekly and monthly and deliver on annual KPI commitments.
- Utilise a loss and waste system to identify chronic problems and opportunities for improvement.
- Utilise focused improvement tools such as 5 why’s, fishbone, DMAIC and SMED to eliminate losses.
- Implement and sustain high levels of 5S.
- Implement and autonomous maintenance program.
- Define and implement standard work systems.
- Work with maintenance to ensure an effective preventive maintenance program exists.
- Coach and train operators, mechanics and supervisors.
- Collaborate with quality, safety, maintenance and other functions to resolve problems and improve performance.
- Manage change in the business unit.

**What you need to join our team**
- College Diploma or University Degree in an Engineering or science field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a supervisor with direct involvement in a unionized production facility.
- Minimum of 2 years strong experience with operational excellence/lean.
- Green Belt (an asset).
- Computer literacy, ideally with MS Office (Word and Excel).
- Knowledge of quality assurance systems HACCP and SQF (an asset).
