Position Overview

The warehouse supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the general operations of the warehouse and its staff. The primary area of focus includes inventory control, shipping/receiving orders, quality control, safety and logistics. The warehouse supervisor will implement and coordinate daily warehouse activities to ensure operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations. The warehouse supervisor will also be responsible for ensuring the compliance of company policy, workplace standards and health and safety requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**

Logistics and Transportation
- Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage and timely delivery of goods and materials.
- Ensure the accuracy of shipment and inventory transactions
- Managing and maintaining fleets and equipment with regular maintenance checks.

Warehouse Management
- Managing, evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity
- Organize and maintain inventory and storage area, ensuring the warehouse is in a neat and organized state.
- Monitor inventory levels to maximize availability and utilization.
- Maintaining records, reporting relevant information and preparing any necessary documentation.
- Ensure quality control on all equipment

People Management
- Communicate job expectations regarding responsibilities, behaviours and daily activities.
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
- Assist operations in determining staffing levels and assign workload.
- Measure and report the effectiveness of warehouse activities and employee performance.
- Monitor and improve the team’s efficiency and productivity.

Safety
- Ensure all employees comply with health and safety protocols and regulations.
- Perform daily checks on forklifts and other equipment within the warehouse
- Participate in safety team initiatives

Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in warehouse environment
- Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or similar management position is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
- Time management skills and ability to delegate
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills with an attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience operating industrial forklift equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software.
- Problem solving skills

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Warehouse management system: 1 year (preferred)
