The Dass Group is one of Elite Digital's valued clients and are a leader in the production and sales of high-quality steel framing and accessories and also involved in metal exports. They have a team of 300+ employees that are consistently involved in progressing the team's initiatives and goals. After opening their first retail store in 1987 in Toronto, within their 1st year they opened up 3+ stores in the downtown core. The business then expanded into the hospitality and real estate industries, calling for various experts and professionals to join the company.
We are looking to tap into our Elite network and help them hire an enthusiastic and success driven **Outside Sales Representative** to generate leads and drive sales for their Dass Rebar and Metal Divisions.
**JOB SUMMARY**
The **Outside Sales Rpresentative**'s responsibilities include submitting regular sales reports to management, informing potential and existing customers of product features and benefits, and resolving customer complaints. You should also be able to create as well as present persuasive sales proposals to customers to encourage sales and repeat business. To be successful in this role, you should be on a constant quest to outperform and grow your business, have an ethically persuasive communication ability and possess exceptional negotiation skills. Ultimately, an exceptional outside sales representative should be able to demonstrate effective communication and customer service skills to continually meet or exceed sales targets.
**Here’s what you’ll be responsible for in this role.**
- Building and sustaining long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers based within an assigned sales territory.
- Traveling within an assigned sales territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers.
- Continually meeting or exceeding sales targets by selling company products to new and existing customers.
- Developing and implementing an effective sales strategy to drive sales.
- Maintaining an accurate record of all leads, customer accounts, and sales.
- Collaborating with the marketing department to expand brand presence through the creation of suitable marketing materials.
- Researching competitors' products and pricing as well as market conditions.
- Keeping abreast of the latest industry developments by attending meetings, training workshops, and industry events.
- Strategically negotiating with potential and existing customers to close sales.
- Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects.
- Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in order to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
- Work with the Regional Sales Managers or President to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet quarterly revenue goals.
- Assisting Marketing Director in writing reports and analyzing data
**Here is what’s important to have to apply**:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or related field is preferred.
- Proven outside sales experience.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Strong consultative sales skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Minimum (2) years Sales experience and/or customer service
- Steel / metal knowledge/experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills

- Must work well both independently and within a team environment.
**Preferable**:
- Post-secondary education in Marketing or Business Administration is an asset.
- Prior sales experience within the steel industry
- Proactive and creative, you are at ease with problem-solving and managing multiple priorities.
- Establish, develop, and grow new business relationships with new prospects.
- Utilize, leverage, and update internal technology to register and manage prospects and marketing leads effectively and in a timely manner.
- Communicate with the management /staff about issues that arise and could affect customer service.
- Hard-working and committed to producing great end results.
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning and explaining technical product capabilities.
- Ability to advance prospects to later stages of the sales process.
- Able to remain calm, controlled, and confident even in difficult or stressful situations.
- Valid driver’s license
