Who we are looking for?
We are seeking a motivated, dynamic, solutions-focused, and creative individual to join our Sales & Marketing team. This position is responsible for growing sales throughout Canada and the U.S. through direct end user acquisition as well as supporting our channel partner network with lead nurturing, customer acquisition and onboarding. Working collaboratively with the Response Sales & Marketing team, the position is accountable for building relationships with potential and existing clients and for increasing sales to the region to support the core purpose of improving patient outcomes and saving lives globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regional Sales Growth _
- Create detailed annual business plans in conjunction with Marketing to increase the customer base in U.S./Canada as well as to ensure profitable sales to new customers.
- Win new business by fielding direct leads from digital marketing campaigns and conferences and employ customer-centric selling to close deals.
- Create NDAs, quotes, and negotiate B2B contracts and loan agreements to support placement of instruments
- Generate and communicate predictable sales forecasts for the region and support setting the product pricing for the region.
- Maintain forecast accuracy of 90% for deals within 90 days.
- Ensure the pipeline of deals is maintained at the size required to predict sales growth accurately.
- Strategic Relationship Management_
- Work closely with channel partners in the U.S. and Canada to formulate strategies to increase revenue
- Partner strategically with the key contact points at the HSAs and demonstrate sincere interest in helping them achieve their own goals, which in turn will drive success for Response.
- Be a role model for leadership and development and play a key role in training partner teams on sales skills, product demos and account management
- Maintain and expand a deep understanding of the U.S. and Canadian diagnostics markets and provide inputs to Product Development, Support and Engineering on market needs
- General/Admin_
- Represent Response at trade shows, customers engagements and participate in the development of sales relationships.
- Clearly communicate sales progress at the Sales Communication meeting.
- Maintain up to date lists of customer contacts in each account and ensure constant communication with key accounts
Education, Work Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Formal Education_
- A Bachelor's degree in science, business, healthcare or other related area is required
- Work Experience_
- 5-7 years of experience in an _in vitro_ diagnostics/medical device sales role.
- Possesses a network and strong relationships in the region of responsibility and has experience in selling point of care diagnostic or lab-based diagnostic devices
- Experience assessing industry/market situations and competition and recommending appropriate responses to maximize success
- Has significant experience managing key accounts and building relationships at different levels in these organizations.
- Experience providing training and presentations to external customers and groups and representing products at regional events
- Strong aptitude in conveying detailed scientific results, literature and studies to a medical and non-medical audience
- Having specific experience with IDNs or GPOs is an asset
- Having specific experience with Health Authorities is an asset
- Proven experience handling RFPs is an asset
