**PURPOSE OF POSITION**:
Responsible for supervising employees completing maintenance of equipment to meet production performance standards. This responsibility includes maximizing equipment reliability/productivity and utilizing process tools and knowledge of system capability to set and achieve performance standards. Focuses on IATF standard for quality improvement through a formal commitment to excellence, cost efficiency and reliability.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES**:

- Focus on equipment reliability to maximize production line productivity.
- Supervise skilled trades performing equipment maintenance, ensuring preventive maintenance schedule is followed
- Support installation of new equipment and services
- Participate in and organize maintenance support of new product launches
- Implements process enhancements to improve product and changeover efficiency
- Develops plans for the implementation of new technology including the implementation of capital plans
- Utilizes visual factory concepts to maximize asset utilization and plant performance in general
- Ensure that all members of his/her team are fully capable of troubleshooting and safely repairing equipment
- Tracks standard manufacturing measures, prioritizes opportunities and develops trimester objectives
- Ensures that critical spare components are identified and available to maintain production and support equipment
- Responsibility for manpower planning and safety compliance for the Maintenance Department
- Ensures policies and procedures are in accordance with TS/ISO 16949 standards with respect to quality of work, maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, and protection of the environment

**JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge/Skill/Experience)**:

- Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in manufacturing maintenance, preferably in an automotive industry
- Minimum three (3) years of work experience in a leadership position of skilled trades
- Excellent communication, emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
- Diploma or University degree (preferred)

**COMPETENCIES**:

- Process management
- Detail Oriented and ability to problem solve effectively
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Ability to read engineering drawings as needed to scribe molds
- Respond quickly to eliminate down time in crisis situations
- Work with mínimal supervision and limited direction
- Knowledge of hazardous material and waste regulations
- Control of Non-Conforming Product/tagging
- Understand Plant KPI’s
- Problem solving tools and techniques

**MENTAL AND PHYSICAL EFFORT & WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Usually works indoors, but may on occasion work outside
- Regularly exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable
- Seldom works in office; works near others, socially distanced
- Depending on the work site, may be exposed to contaminants
- Must wear personal protective equipment as required by company policy and legislation
