**Job Overview**

Working under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, The Maintenance Aide is responsible for performing general maintenance to ensure a safe, comfortable, attractive and homelike environment for residents, visitors, volunteers and staff.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform full suite refurbishes including drywall repairs, painting, flooring, tiling, grouting and other renovation work to ensure a home like environment
- Perform equipment maintenance
- Collaborate with contractors, as required
- Grounds maintenance including snow removal and parking garage maintenance
- Perform garbage removal
- Assist with semi-annual suite maintenance
- Monitor water temperatures and fire system compliance
- Carry 24hr Emergency Call Pager when requested
- Renovation experience is required
- Must be experienced in the safe operation of maintenance equipment and power tools
- Must have ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Ability to recognize when a problem requires professional services
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Vulnerable Sector Search Criminal Record check
- Must maintain an up to date immunization record including COVID-19 vaccination series, annual influenza and TB screening
