Position
Position Title: Accounting Assistant and Office Administrator

Location: Main office in Etobicoke, Bloor Islington area

Reports To: Office Manager and Chief Accountant
Work To Be Performed Accounts Receivable Residential Rentals
- Enter Payments into Quickbooks
- Preparation of Monthly Statements
- Notification of Short Payments or NSF’s

Accounts Payable Rentals and Vendors
- Receipt and sorting of Vendor Invoices
- Assignment of Cost Codes
- Entry into QuickBooks
- Scheduling Invoice Payment

Banking
- Preparation of Bank Deposits
- Deposit Cheques using Cheque Scanner
- Occasional Delivery of Payments to Banks (walking distance)

Account Maintenance Vendors and Rentals
- Lease Creation and Packages
- Annual Rent Increases
- Last Month Rent Deposits and Accumulated Interest
- Update Memorized Transactions
- Maintain Rent Roll
- Set Up and Maintain Vendor Accounts
- Enter Payables, Electronic and Monthly Rent Cheques

Reconciliations Rentals
- Tenant Account Reconciliations
- Vendor Account Reconciliations
- Staff Credit Card and Expense Report Reconciliations
- Corporate Credit Card Reconciliations

Office Administration
- Distribution of Received Mail, Invoices, Couriers
- Maintenance and Ordering of Office Supplies
- Maintenance of Files and Documentation
- Working with and Greeting of staff, visitors, couriers, etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
Software
- Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal
- Highly organized and detailed
- Quickbooks Experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Personal
- Cheerful, Professional Disposition and Social Skills a must
- Positive Attitude and Team Player
- Ability to Multi-task

Qualifications and Experience:
Education
- Accounting and Payroll Certificate an asset

Experience
- QuickBooks Knowledge
- Accounting Experience with Payables and Receivables
- Tenancy Experience an asset, not necessary

What Are The Working Conditions The Position Is Exposed To:

- Working conditions are normal for an office environment, quite pleasant overall.
- Some exposure to residential and industrial environments.

**Salary**: $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Etobicoke, ON M8X 2X9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (required)

**Language**:

- English (required)
