Calling Order Clerk (Ajax)

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
- Provide excellent customer service to internal/external customers- Accurately select Calling Orders in a timely and efficient manner- Maintain a clean work area- Help with receiving process when needed- Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to work in freezer, cooler or grocery area.- Able to repeatedly lift heavy weight- Able to work with minimum supervision- Able to work well with a team as well as individually- Currently certified or capable of becoming certified on all equipment.

Available Shift- During peak seasons, scheduled overtime is required, and may include up to 13 hour shifts.- There is a 30-minute paid lunch for an 8-hour shift- GFS Delivers every day of the year, as we are a 24/7 operation. Employees must be flexible to work all Statutory Holidays, however, this does not necessarily mean that employees will be required to work all of them.

Working Conditions- Grocery is warm. Employees often wear shorts and T-shirts year round.- Cooler is approximately 1 - 2°C. Employees often wear jogging pants, sweatshirts, and a light jacket.- Freezer is approximately -15°C. Freezer equipment including thermal suits, gloves and boots are provided.- There are approximately 60 employees working per shift.- CSA approved steel-toed safety boots must be worn on the warehouse floor. Employees are reimbursed $100 per year towards safety boots with proof of purchase after 90 days of employment.
