**The Opportunity**
JGL Group of Companies is seeking an experienced, people-focused Human Resources Manager to join our People and Culture team. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role is responsible for the execution, delivery, and day-to-day management of HR programs and processes across JGL’s diverse group of businesses.
The Human Resources Manager plays a critical role in bringing strategy to life. This role is highly collaborative and hands-on, requiring close partnership with leaders and employees across multiple business units, as well as comfort with learning new industries, adapting to different operational environments, and building trusted relationships quickly.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support full-cycle recruitment across multiple business units, partnering with leaders to understand unique workforce needs and role requirements
- Build strong, trusted relationships with leaders and employees across diverse teams, industries, and operational environments
- Act as a day-to-day advisor to leaders and managers on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, providing practical, timely, and solutions-focused guidance
- Execute onboarding, performance management, employee development, and succession planning initiatives, while contributing to their continuous improvement
- Provide hands-on support with employee relations matters, investigations, performance issues, and workplace conflict
- Maintain HR policies, programs, and procedures, ensuring consistency while allowing for business unit nuance where appropriate
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Human Resources on organizational change initiatives, culture building, and engagement strategies, contributing insights from day-to-day operations
- Support compensation, benefits administration, and workforce planning initiatives
- Ensure HR practices align with applicable provincial and federal employment legislation across all jurisdictions
- Prepare and maintain HR reporting, metrics, and documentation to support data-informed decision-making
- Partner with Payroll, Finance, and operational leaders to deliver a consistent and positive employee experience
- Ongoing support and end-user training for HRIS and payroll system.
- Actively contribute to building, strengthening, and sustaining a positive workplace culture
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- CPHR designation or actively working toward completion is strongly preferred
- 5 to 8 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist or managerial capacity
- Experience supporting multiple business units or diverse operational environments is a strong asset
- Comfortable learning new industries, asking questions, and adapting HR practices to different contexts
- Strong working knowledge of employment legislation across multiple jurisdictions
- Demonstrated strength in recruitment, workforce planning, and employee relations
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience HRIS platforms is considered an asset
