Actual Landscaping has expanded consistently over the past 30 years and is well established as a large-scale commercial landscape company. We provide quality commercial landscape construction, civil installations and environmental restoration projects around the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.

We are currently hiring watering crew to operate our watering trucks. This position is seasonal but has the option to transfer to the construction division at the end of the watering season.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Safe execution of assigned watering contract duties
- Work diligently r for the timely completion of all route tasks
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked and organized vehicle
- Report all Near Miss, Accidents and Incidents immediately to the Supervisor
- Actively communicate with their Supervisor and watering administration team (as required)
- Participate in all required safety and team meetings
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment at all times
- Assist Supervisor in safely managing road/lane closures as required

EXPERIENCE:

- Experience driving a heavy vehicle an asset - Clean Driver’s Abstract required
- Class 5 driver’s license or N
- Experience working in an outdoor environment an asset

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

- Excellent command of the English language
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of navigating the lower mainland
- Mechanical aptitude/experience with pumps or small engines an asset
- Demonstrated safe driving record
- Must be able to work on Saturdays

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This role is physically demanding, requiring entering/exiting a truck frequently. Individuals must be able to sit/stand/walk/crouch for long periods of time. Additionally, the ability lift up to 50lbs is required.

ENVIRONMENT:
This position is 100% outside. Individuals must be prepared to work in extreme conditions including extreme heat, cold, rain and wind. The company highly recommends the use of layers and sunscreen as required.

CONSTRUCTION JOB DESCRIPTION FOR POST SEASON

Paving stone installation: Base prep/elevations/grading/laying/cutting & reading architectural plans
- Softscape installation: Soil placement/Plant layout & installation. Grading & laying turf & reading landscape plans
- Retaining wall installation: Construction of engineered & non-engineered block retaining walls
- Operation of skid steer & mini-excavators

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
