Busy Trucking & Excavation company looking for Class 1 and Class 3 Dump Truck Driver

Rate will increase based on experience and capability

Must have references & proven experience

Must be self-starter - basic mechanical repair knowledge is an asset

Looking for tandem/tridem dump truck drivers & truck and pony

Truck and transfer experience an asset

**Salary**: $28.00-$34.00 per hour

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Pick up and deliver materials in a safe and timely manner
- Would be operating Truck and Pony, End Dumps, Tri-Tri, Truck and Transfer
- Oversee all aspects of pickups and deliveries, including loading and unloading, proper securement, equipment inspection and safe delivery
- Oversee all aspects of delivery vehicles, including inspection, maintenance and cleanliness
- Ensure paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and within Summit’s standards
- Record deliveries, information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Report all issues and concerns related to equipment and vehicle maintenance in a timely manner
- Adhere and meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
- Perform all work in accordance with current company policies and procedures
- Complete other tasks as needed or required
- Paid Key to Key

**Qualifications**
- Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver’s Licence
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Familiar with the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland
- Ability to speak and write English
- Load securement training

**Schedule**
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends and Nights Available

**Work Setting**
- Various Locations

**Tasks**
- Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Perform emergency roadside repairs
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

**Experience**
- Dump truck driving: 1 year (required)

**Language**
- English (required)

**Certificates, licences, memberships and courses**
- Air brakes endorsement
- Driver’s Licence (Class 1, 3 or A)

**Documentation Knowledge**
- Driver logbook
- Inspection report (pre-trip, en route, post trip)
- Maintenance and report reports
- Trip reports

**Type of Trucking Equipment**
- Dump truck
- Tractor-trailer

**Communication Systems Experience**
- Trip recorder (on-board computer)
