**JOIN WIND & TIDE’S ADMINISTRATION TEAM**
Wind & Tide is currently seeking a **full-time (40 hours/week) Payroll Manager position located in our Administration Office in White Rock, BC.**
This is a full-time position; Monday through Friday, on site at the Administration office, working in a warm and dynamic office environment.Wind & Tide also offers a comprehensive benefits package to new staff once they have successfully completed a standard probationary term. Benefits include 2 weeks vacation in your first year, increasing to 3 weeks in your second year, and 4 weeks by year 6. We offer gifted days throughout the year with pay, paid sick leave, health and dental benefits, and an RRSP program following your 3rd year of employment.
**WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- Minimum 2 years experience in Dayforce Payroll Management System
- Fluency in the BC Employment Standards Act (ESA)
- Basic Understanding of Worksafe BC as it applies to pay while an employee has a Worksafe claim
- Develop and demonstrate a strong understanding of our Wind & Tide philosophy, administration procedures, and the Wind & Tide Employee Handbooks
- Maintain a high level of accuracy, with strong attention to detail
- Maintain oversight for their area, ensuring that items are addressed and complete
- Ability to multitask under pressure, and adhere to deadlines
- Take initiative on providing accurate reports on the various aspects of their administrative area, ensuring other areas have the details necessary
- Analyze current systems and procedures, taking initiative to improve the overall level of administration

**JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Setup of new payroll each school year, including newly hired staff, for our Preschool and Childcare companies, that reflects new appointment letters and all related payroll details as listed below
- Set up of tax definitions as per each employee’s TD1 And TD1BC forms as well as CPP, EI
- Set up and make changes to direct deposit info in payroll as needed
- Deduct employee portion of benefits premiums on a monthly basis
- Set up correct staff entitlement policy in the payroll system
- Set up payroll elections, including - Group Benefits, Wage Enhancement Vacation, Wage Enhancement Parity Stipend, salary deferrals, stipends, etc.
- Pay eligible staff Wage Enhancement and Wage Enhancement vacation monthly
- Pay any eligible stipends on a monthly basis, as applicable
- Pay employees for any sub shifts that they fill
- Entering, maintaining and updating RRSP contribution amounts in payroll as needed
- Entering any taxable benefits through payroll to ensure taxation is correct
- Administer mass vacation payouts to eligible Preschool Employees at Christmas Break, Spring Break and on June 30 payroll.
- Administer gifted days through payroll to employees that are eligible for them
- Administer mid-year increases in payroll for eligible employees
- Administer averaging agreements in payroll as needed
- Issuing T4s and T4A’s annually for all s
