**POSITION**:Quality Assurance Analyst II - Distribution Systems
**LOCATION**: Toronto, ON.
**STATUS**: Full-time
**JOB OVERVIEW**

We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst II to join our Information Technology - Distribution System team. In your role as a Quality Assurance Analyst (QA II) you will focus on developing and executing test cases for more complex projects to identify software problems and their causes during the test phase of the waterfall software development life cycle and also during Agile sprint cycles.

QA Analysts are expected to prepare, validate and document test activities. The QA Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all testing, documentation and implementations are done in accordance with CI internal policies and procedures. This position is fast paced and ever changing, requiring flexibility, self-initiative, and regular management of changing priorities.
**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
Creating, executing, debugging and maintaining automation and manual test scripts.
Help gather testing requirements, and testing scopes according to business requirement.
- Create test data for more complex projects and new product launches
- Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
- Monitor defect resolution efforts and track successes.
- Re-test any defects or issues encountered.
- Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
- Track and report upon testing activities, including test results, test case coverage, and defect discovered and their status.
- Ensure content and structures of all Testing artifacts are well documented and maintained.
- Support other test team members and associated IT and Business resources as appropriate to the implementation of testing related activities.
- Treat all stakeholders with professionalism, dignity and respect and support an environment where people can contribute and excel.
- To carry out other tasks as agreed with the Quality Assurance Manager.
**WHAT YOU WILL BRING**
- Post-secondary education and/or equivalent applicable IT experience
- 3 + years related working experience in the Mutual Funds Operations/Financial Services industry
- 2+ years of test automation, experience in automation frameworks and test design automation
- Knowledge of Selenium or Java based automation framework
- Good knowledge of SQL and 2+ years of experience working with databases like MS SQL server, My SQL, etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- In depth knowledge of the Mutual fund industry legislation and regulations
- Strong time-management and prioritizing abilities
- Experienced with scripting Languages: HTML, PHP, Java, Javascript are an asset
