**Position Summary**

**Responsibilities**

**Program Development & Delivery**
- Promote, develop, coordinate and support initiatives which build individual and organizational capacity to advance equity, diversity and inclusion (DEI) goals
- Foster a culture of openness, respect, fairness, and inclusion
- Develop strategies, policy development, awareness-raising, training supports and resources to enhance Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) compliance for external and internal stakeholders
- Remain up to date on leading practices in relation to advancing accessibility
- Outreach and engagement with persons with disabilities in order to ensure meaningful community consultation
- Design and develop resources to accompany accessibility/disability-related policies/programs that are informed by a critical analysis of disability and its intersection with other social identities

**Project Management**
- Identify key priorities and measurable outcomes, and drive the consistent execution and the adoption of project deliverables for all components of the project and supports the team to achieve success
- Identify, develop, coordinate, or delegate the coordination of project deliverables to support accessibility goals and priorities
- Provide continuous strategic foresight and ongoing monitoring regarding the project cycle to determine inputs, stakeholder needs, issues and potential roadblocks
- Organize and facilitate project launch meetings and ongoing project planning meetings
- Oversee project sub-plans, budgets, and the allocation of resources and manage project timelines
- Oversee monthly monitoring and reporting on project milestones, outcomes, and KPI’s as required

**Business Engagement & Consultation**
- Evaluate, re-design and drive adoption of DEI initiatives to support the evolving needs of employers in collaboration with internal and external partners
- Act as consultative support to tourism and hospitality businesses; including assessment and referrals
- Assess gaps and identify both challenges and solutions to achieving accessibility goals and priorities
- Create DEI focused strategies to enhance attraction, growth and retention of under-represented groups in the sector
- Develop and provide advice to improve the inclusion of persons with disabilities in tourism and hospitality businesses, including recommendations to support businesses on how to improve disability inclusion in the workplace
- Networks with and provides support to employers striving to design inclusive and accessible recruitment and retention strategies
- Researches, develops and consults on the development of resources, guides and tools that support employers in implementing and complying with the Accessibility standards and that advance the creation of accessible workplace environments for persons with disabilities.

**Stakeholder Relations**
- Establishes and coordinates mechanisms for effective and efficient communication and collaboration across OTEC’s projects and the TSNO Alliance
- Provides consultation and support to internal and external stakeholders to support their DEI initiatives
- Initiates and develops strong working relationships with staff, partners and TSNO members in order to ensure the development and sharing of best practices
