Reporting to Construction Manager the Pre-Engineered Building Erector will be responsible for leading the operations associated with erecting pre-engineered buildings on various project sites on behalf of the Manitoba Buildings Group.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide leadership and guidance for erecting pre-engineered buildings.
- Provide safety leadership through implementation and participation of Bird Safety Program.
- Participate in rigging and utilizing various rigging techniques for steel erection.
- Overseeing the Installation of structural steel, metal wall panels (cladding), roofing systems and various insulation.
- Review construction documents such as drawings and specifications.
- Assist with QA/QC activities.
- Support with the preparation and execution of overall work plan and schedule in collaboration with the project team.
- Assist with loading and unloading construction materials on site.
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- At least 5 years of experience in erecting metal building systems (MBSE)
- Strong working knowledge of MBSE building techniques
- Knowledge of equipment required to safely and efficiently erect pre-engineered buildings
- Self-motivated, action oriented and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment or independently with a positive attitude
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to follow and provide instructions
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and at various heights
- EWP, AT Forklift, working at heights, and first aid certifications considered an asset
- Drivers license and able to operate a motor vehicle is required
- Knowledge of standard health, safety, and environmental requirements and practices in the construction industry
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
- Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities, capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups
