**Our Opportunity**
The Inspector will be responsible for the inspection of the construction of roads, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, watermain, curb and gutter, sidewalks, stormwater management facilities and grading works to ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications and municipal/provincial standards. Work will also include liaison with contractors, preparing field inspection reports, tracking construction quantities, and assistance with contract administration duties including conducting site meetings and preparing meeting minutes.
**BOTH FULL TIME AND CONTRACT POSITIONS AVAILABLE**
**Key Position Requirements**
- Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of contract drawings, tender documents and design and construction standards
- Manage on-site construction observation of municipal infrastructure projects (sewers, watermains and roadways), ensuring that projects meet the requirements of contract drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate daily records of conditions, site activities, field measurements, and work progress.
- Field experiences working around heavy equipment
- Understand the hazards and safe work procedures for each task and inspection location
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
**Education And Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- C.E.T. certification or eligibility would be an asset
- Minimum of 3 years experience
