**As a CNC Setup Operator, you will be responsible for setting up 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC milling machines for complex parts requiring multiple operations and tight tolerances.** **You will work closely with programmers and inspectors to ensure each setup meets quality and performance expectations.** **Key Responsibilities** - Set up CNC milling machines (3, 4, and 5-axis) for production and prototype jobs - Perform tool changes, work offsets, and part alignments - Accurately interpret engineering drawings and GD&T - Ensure all parts meet tight tolerances, often up to ±0.001" - Complete setups for multi-operation parts in a timely and efficient manner - Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to verify part dimensions - Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in line with 5S and lean manufacturing practices - Assist in maintaining AS9100 quality compliance - Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes - Operate CMM equipment if trained (bonus) **Qualifications** - Minimum 2 years experience as a CNC Operator - Minimum 2 years experience performing CNC setups - Proficient in setting up 3, 4, and 5-axis milling machines - Able to interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications - Familiar with inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges - Experience with tight-tolerance machining (±0.001") - Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards - Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S principles - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently or within a team **Bonus** - Experience using manual and automatic CMMs - Previous work in aerospace or defense manufacturing - Familiarity with G-code and basic troubleshooting Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Casual dress - On-site parking Work Location: In person
