**JOB POSTING - Compounding Pharmacy Assistant**

**Our Infusion Pharmacy team is seeking Pharmacy Assistants who are motivated to learn and advance their career in pharmacy** Working with the pharmacy’s compounding, intake and specialty teams in one of our largest infusion pharmacy locations, you will contribute to the provision of a multitude of high complexity specialty medications to our homecare patients. Located at our corporate office in Ottawa (1100 Algoma Rd.), these positions offer increased earnings potential, and a retention bonus plan.

**Job Title**: Pharmacy Assistant - Compounding
**Location**:Ottawa, ON - IV Pharmacy
**Reports to**: Home Infusion Supervisor

**Type**: Full time, permanent (includes days, weekends, evenings, statutory holidays)
**Salary**: Hourly, commensurate with experiences

**Responsibilities**:

- Compounding Sterile Preparations in compliance with P&Ps and standards set by the company
- Calculate and supply clean room staff with ingredients that are required for compounding
- Labels final containers and packs orders for delivery
- Support pharmacists during the final check
- Calibrate, monitor and maintain equipment inside and outside of the clean room
- Receive and place orders of medications, solutions and supplies on the shelves and maintain inventory
- Organize and maintain the work area inside and outside of the clean room

**Qualifications**
- Completion of technical training required
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques is an asset
- Experience working in a clean room environment is an asset
- Commitment to high standards
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast pace environment
