Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst is actively involved in the preparation and analysis of the monthly and annual financial reporting package. Analysis includes comparing results against budget and prior year as well as evaluating the Company’s KPI’s. Some travel may be required.

**Job responsibilities**:

- Day-to-day banking and cash management of the organization.
- Downloading daily bank activity to facilitate update of the bank reconciliation module.
- Communication with banks and credit card service providers on a regular basis.
- Timely accounting of banking activities.
- Timely completion of account reconciliations - bank accounts, loan accounts, etc.
- Administration of Fixed Assets - ensure reconciliation of sub-ledger to GL, update of continuity schedules, tracking of capital projects.
- Processing assigned month-end journal entries.
- Filing of monthly commodity tax returns, and analysis of accounts.
- Assisting with compilation of information to facilitate preparation of corporate tax returns.
- Other tasks as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience with full cycle accounting
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power point, Word).
- Ability to meet deadlines efficiently & under pressure. Experienced in identifying opportunities for efficiencies and effectiveness, and implementation thereof.
- Must be detail oriented and organized.
- College or University Accounting considered an asset.
