Reporting to the VP - Sales, Marketing and Business Development, the Sales Manager is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to the Sales team at Argus. They are responsible for sales and marketing efforts aligning with operations to support current customer requirements and continued products growth.
The Sales Manager is responsible for working with stakeholders on strategic planning: providing insight, support and direction in the development of the corporate goals, principles and vision.

Argus is a fully equipped machining, engineering and design facility based in Edmonton and Nisku, Alberta. We manufacture a diverse range of superior quality OCTG products. Our facilities include over 100,000 square feet of engineering, manufacturing, threading, assembly, and test space. **RESPONSIBILITIES**:

**Strategy and Planning**:
- Work with the VP-SM&BDE to develop and document the Global Sales Strategic plan, which is aligned to Corporate goals and supports the Corporate vision and strategy, with inputs from Marketing and Business Development.
- Gain approval for and deliver the Sales Strategic plan,
- Define excellent customer service and communicate expectations to the team.
- Communicate the Sales strategy to the sales team and Argus, ensuring it is understood and implemented effectively.
- Utilize market research to identify and validate opportunities. Explore and analyze new global markets while effectively managing risk.
- Identify key growth opportunities for Argus Machine, through networking, building relationships and market knowledge/ research. Deliver on opportunities, resulting in sources of new revenue, new markets, and new capabilities.
- Audit product offerings and margins in order to streamline breadth of product offerings.
- Nurture relationships that are productive and show promise for Argus and their growth.
- Contribute to defining the product, service and capability standards which will be communicated by the sales team.
- Actively drive sales activities as defined in the Sales plans to achieve or exceed targets, training and supporting team members as required.
- Define KPIs for the Sales team with the VP-SM&BDE.
- Cascade Account Manager KPIs and parameters at Argus, providing a focused direction for opportunities.
**Sales**:
- Provide ongoing account management support to clients on projects and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Meet weekly with the Sales team to analyze, discuss, and provide constructive feedback on sales performance.
- Define reporting requirements for sales, from a data and personnel perspective. Utilize Power BI and other available reporting tools to track performance.
- Monitor individual progress against targets, ensuring the plan is being appropriately executed and delivered on. Provide support and direction as needed.
- Report weekly on the Sales activities to the VP-SM&BDE, providing additional updates to Leadership as requested.
- Promote Argus’ capabilities with current and prospective customers.
- Provide input on market opportunities, and future market development goals.
- Perform presentations to audiences at all levels of industry; from the field to E.P.C.s; End Users and at conferences.
- Monitor performance of customer relations, ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
- Lead in identifying new or expanded opportunities for revenue generations and strategic partnerships.
- Implement pricing that meets with company profit margin goals as well as industry accepted norms.
- Provide insight, information or conceptual product proposals to engineering for new product lines to be considered.
- Accurately maintain database (e.g. CRM, Excel) of prospective/ current customer information. Manage sales and marketing activity, leads, tracking through Argus’ CRM.
**Strategic Partnerships**:
- Manage and develop our existing strategic partnerships to ensure we have a solid network of Manufacturer’s Representatives and Agent Network. Nurture and build relationships with the partners.
- Review and update strategic partnerships, identifying new partners based on products/ services and geographic needs.
- Evaluate all partnerships to ensure they are productive and aligned with Argus Values. Terminate non-productive partnerships.
- Identify new or expanded opportunities for revenue generation and strategic partnerships within our existing capabilities and customers.
- Formalize strategic partnership agreements as required.
- Report on performance of strategic partners and agents in all areas in which Argus sell or have intent globally.
