**Design Drafter - PARC - Term Position (6 Months)**:
The position of Design Drafter offers dynamic challenges in producing engineering details for architectural ceiling and building services products and systems. We are looking for an individual who is technically inclined, productive and eager to manage multiple priorities to customer deadlines and with a high degree of accuracy.
- Develop manufacturing details and release engineering packages for customized orders.
- Complete detailed engineering drawings for sales and customer review within established lead times.
- Design and manage drafting projects from conception to completion.
- Provide exceptional production support throughout the manufacturing process.
- Create complex 3D CAD files in Solid Edge, Solid Works, and Revit with parametric features.
- Prepare reflected ceiling plan (RCP) product layouts that integrate with ceiling products and building services.
- Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing CAD diploma.
- Excellent knowledge of Solid Edge/Works and other 3D CAD software.
- Comprehensive understanding of product design and engineering standards.
- Aptitude to work in both imperial and metric units of measurement.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.
- Superior initiative, self-motivation, professionalism, and ethics.
- Experience with MRP or ERP software, including BOMs, material allocation and product configurations.
- Exposure to sheet metal cutting and forming processes.
- Practical knowledge of welding, machining, powder coating, liquid painting, and anodizing operations.
- Previous architectural metals or HVAC industry experience.
- Aptitude with personal hand tools and power tools used in residential and commercial construction.
