**Drafter - GRD**

The role of the RGD Specials Designer is primarily to process accurate and timely internal work orders, manufacturing details, submittals and sub approvals, using either AutoCad or SolidEdge, and to provide assistance to both internal (production team members) and external customers when required.
- Providing production assistance to cell(s) in a prompt, professional manner.
- Openly communicating and working cohesively with immediate team members and Team Leader.
- Ensuring incoming requests are addressed appropriately and in a timely manner, guaranteeing that the request is either answered by a member of the Design team or forwarded to an outside group who can address the request, where applicable.
- Ensuring Submittals and Design packages are produced error free.
- Verifying other team members’ work for accuracy as directed by Team Leader.
- Processing and compiling manufacturing detail packages.
- Processing and compiling submittal drawings.
- Providing Field Quality Report assistance to Quality when required.
- Being a point of contact for customers / reps / account mangers to assist with projects and the routing of their requests.
- Being a point of contact for production relating to Design issues and inquiries.
- Communicating with Team Leader regarding delays and issues on requests that are being processed, understanding the issue and providing specific information as required.
- Minimum grade 12 education, post-secondary education preferred.
- AutoCAD and SolidEdge education preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- The ability to read drawings.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The ability to prioritize work and multitask.
