**George Wakefield Foods Inc.** is a distributor of fresh and frozen food products. Our product lines include dairy items, with our main product line being ice cream. We have operations spanning from Saskatchewan to Ontario, with our head office located in Winnipeg, MB. We are looking for the right person with the right attitude to join our team as a Sales Representative. Experience is not needed if you are willing to learn and think you have what it takes to be successful.

**Title: Sales Representative/Merchandiser**

**Location: Winnipeg and Rural Manitoba**

**Hours: Full-time position, Monday to Friday**

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Drive to customer locations throughout assigned territory
- Develop new clients by cold calling and networking
- Introduce new products and prices to customers, acting as a brand representative to Canada's leading ice cream companies.
- Merchandise and clean ice cream freezers
- Install point of sale material
- Complete sales orders for customers and submit to our customer service department
- Manage complaints and collection issues
- Work with distributors to promote our product lines and increase their business with existing customers
- Deliver special orders when needed
- Maintain records on territory and customer sales
- Complete other reasonable duties as assigned

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Have a can do attitude
- Enjoy working with people
- Ability to work both independently and closely within a positive team environment
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent analytical and time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Strong customer service and problem solving skills
- Keen attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Previous sales experience or a willingness to learn
- Fulfill duties with day trips but be available for possible overnight trips
- Physically able to bend and reach into a chest freezer
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Will need to pass a criminal record check
- Maintain a valid class 5 driver's license
- Authorized to work in Canada
