**VP of business development**

**Responsibilities and duties**
- Enjoy promoting and making NOVO shine, a B2B company with a unique corporate culture that stands out for the way it thinks outside the box.
- Achieve business development objectives in line with the business plan (be results oriented and driven)
- Establish, in collaboration with the marketing team, a strategy to identify and contact potential NOVO customers (prospecting) while taking into account current sales channels and our business partners
- Develop and implement the company's sales strategy to grow the Canadian market, develop the U.S. market and position Novo as a leading provider of medical and technology product development services
- Identify expansion opportunities to develop strategic partnerships with existing customers and generate repeat business.
- Maintain a technology and market watch in its territory to identify opportunities for growth and development of NOVO and channel this vision into the company's strategic plan.
- Coordinate internal and external resources and expertise to respond professionally to business opportunities
- Manage current partnerships and identify new partners in the North American ecosystem that will increase NOVO's brand awareness in the market
- Manage, mobilize and coach the business development team in order to implement the strategic plan
- Demonstrate positive leadership, have a coaching attitude and collaborate with the team to develop their skills and support them in achieving their goals (be a team player)
- Control expenses according to the allocated budget
- Set up KPIs, monitor them and drive the sales dashboard
- Have a thirst for road trips, in Canada and in the United States, in order to visit clients regularly and be available for occasional commercial events (if Covid allows)

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Experience or relevant education in sales and B2B approach (8 to 10 years)
- Experience and proven ability in selling professional services and complex and unique technology solutions
- Understanding of digital marketing strategies and tools is a big plus
- Strategic thinking and vision
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Demonstrate strong presentation skills (in French and English)
- Mastering the basics of Copper or other CRM.
- Ability to synthesize and communicate quality information in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrate emotional intelligence, strong persuasive skills and active listening skills
- Be authentic, autonomous and able to show initiative
- Experience working in the medical field (an advantage)
- Background in a NOVO technical discipline or scientific background (an advantage)

**Salary and Benefits**
- Permanent position with full autonomy in terms of schedule and results-oriented time management
- Great flexibility in terms of work location. We offer telecommuting and/or the possibility to work in one of our 3 offices: Trois-Rivières, Laval and Montreal.
