**The Opportunity**
This is a wonderful opportunity to join a young, dynamic, successful finance team as a new Payroll Specialist for Peninsula Employment Services Limited (PES).
**Job Overview**
You balance a sound payroll experience with great interpersonal skills that allows you to relate easily with any colleague, manager, or executive. You will be the right hand and backup of the Payroll Manager for the semi-monthly payroll across Canada. You are an advanced Excel user that can navigate a great variety of remuneration and commission plans.
Success in this role requires you to be methodical, well organized, and have great attention to detail, to deliver accurate and in time payroll.

Payroll Manager
**Key Responsibilities**
- Onboard new employees in Dayforce
- Review and process absences and vacations
- Prepare semi-monthly payroll runs into Dayforce
- Calculate termination pays
- Prepare headcount reports
- Calculate commissions and bonus
- Resolve employee queries
- Help on journal entries, and reconciliations
- Assist on end-of-year processes
**Skills and experience required**:
- 3-5 years of multi-provincial payroll experience
- Working knowledge of provincial payroll legislation
- Experience with payroll systems, ideally Dayforce
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated analytical skills and an investigative approach to problem solving
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Excellent customer service approach in relating with colleagues
- Discretion and confidentiality
- Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
- Able to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment
- Demonstrates initiative, proactiveness, and ownership of the role
- College/University Diploma
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certification is an asset
