**Title: Junior Project Estimator**

**About us**

Nexxgen Environmental is an environmental soil/ water remediation company based out of Ajax Ontario. We specialize in earthworks, groundwater treatment and remedial in situ system installations. Our earthworks division conducts large excavations/ trenches in open and limited space environments. Excavations/ trenches can vary from standard basic operations to technical shoring operations depending on site conditions. Our work is primarily in the GTA and surrounding areas, although we do work all over Ontario.

**Job description**
- Analyzing bid documents to understand project scopes, requirements, and regulations
- Communicating with Operations manager, Project Managers and JHSC members to ensure correct timelines, regulations and safety requirements are maintained
- Meeting with clients on-site to ensure all aspects of project are understood and clear
- Analyzing material, labour and equipment costs and documenting
- Collecting project relevant documentation such as land surveys, historical documents, structural documents, etc.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all projects and relevant research
- Preparing accurate and detailed project estimates for Project Managers to review
- Preparing detailed take-offs for all aspects of the project
- Participating in estimate review and proposal meetings

**Job Requirements**
- Minimum 5 years construction background
- Minimum 3 years Project Estimating
- Experience reading blueprints, grades and layouts
- Experience reading structural drawings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced computer proficiency (Adobe, Microsoft Office including Excel)
- Ability to work from home and travel to job sites as needed

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Familiarity with CAD
- Post-secondary education

**Hours & Wage**
- Monday - Friday
- Full-time, permanent
- Wage: $20 - $25 hourly
