Job Title: Junior Estimator/Project Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a driven and organized Junior Estimator/Project Coordinator to join our high-energy team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed, accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, architectural specifications (Division 9), and scope of work documents for commercial projects and tenders.
  • Create customized, detailed proposals and present them to clients on-site or shortly thereafter.
  • Utilize estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore) and Excel to produce bids.
  • Prepare detailed job start packages and communicating scope clearly to project managers and crews.
  • Assist in evaluating pricing from suppliers and ordering necessary samples or special equipment.
  • Coordinate change notices, site instructions and progress updates throughout the lifespan of the project.
  • Monitor extra SOW, labour hours and budgets to ensure project goals are maintained.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in construction estimating.
  • Strong problem solving skills and an ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Pro-active, highly organized, strong time management and pays a great attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Experience with estimating software (Bluebeam, Procore) is highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and accountable for hitting sales numbers.
