Job Title: Junior Estimator/Project Coordinator
About the Role
We are seeking a driven and organized Junior Estimator/Project Coordinator to join our high-energy team.
If you are a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to build a career with a clear growth path, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed, accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, architectural specifications (Division 9), and scope of work documents for commercial projects and tenders.
- Create customized, detailed proposals and present them to clients on-site or shortly thereafter.
- Utilize estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore) and Excel to produce bids.
- Prepare detailed job start packages and communicating scope clearly to project managers and crews.
- Assist in evaluating pricing from suppliers and ordering necessary samples or special equipment.
- Coordinate change notices, site instructions and progress updates throughout the lifespan of the project.
- Monitor extra SOW, labour hours and budgets to ensure project goals are maintained.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of experience in construction estimating.
- Strong problem solving skills and an ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Pro-active, highly organized, strong time management and pays a great attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Experience with estimating software (Bluebeam, Procore) is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and accountable for hitting sales numbers.
