**NHPSG Society **is a Non-Profit Society funded by School District 42 and The Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD). We are a member in good standing with the Chamber of Commerce serving Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge.

A full time youth care worker / educational assistant is needed to join a team implementing an in-home intervention program for a child affected with Autism.

The person should be very patient, physically fit and be able to follow the direction given by the Program Manager and other consultants - BC, Speech Therapist and Occupational Therapist, preferably someone with a post secondary education in a child related field. The child that you will be working with is a pleasant boy, is verbal and has the ability to learn. There are times when this boy has challenging behaviours and therefore it advantageous for the incumbent to be able to handle such situations and think on their feet, to redirect the child, and to follow the behaviour plan. This boy is 15 years old and is tall.

CPI or Mandt certification is preferable (training will be provided) as well as a clean drivers abstract, first aid certification and training in autism.

It would be beneficial to have skills in task analysis, discreet trial, verbal behavior, play skills, language development, school integration and incidental learning.

Our remuneration is $23.29 to $30 per hour, paid lunch, full benefits (available once employment has started) and the list goes on. This is full-time employment throughout the year and not an on-call position. The starting time is 730am until 430pm.

The applicant should preferably be able to start as soon as possible.
