Activation Coordinator/rehabilitation Assistant

**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary diploma, degree or certificate in Recreation and Leisure Studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, gerontology or other related field;
- Graduate from an accredited School of Physiotherapy and/or Occupational Therapy Assistant diploma program;
- Current CPR certificate;
- Experience working with seniors in a long-term care setting;
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in individual and group program planning, implementation, and evaluation for those with differences in cognitive abilities;
- Previous experience in Physiotherapy Department/Hospital setting required;
- Computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint;
- Experience with electronic documentation in an electronic health record system, preferably Epic;
- Well developed interpersonal and time management skills;
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Starting Wage: $26.44 per hour
**Please note**: In order to work in a healthcare facility, _the Public Hospitals Act 1990_, _Regulation 965_ requires all employees to provide proof of up-to-date immunization/vaccines for the following diseases: Tuberculin Skin Testing (TB), Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/Diphtheria (DTap), Influenza (during flu season) and three COVID shots. This proof must be provided to our Occupational Health Office in order to be cleared to work.
