**Métis Family Resource Program Implementation Coordinator**

Location: 12308 111 Avenue #200, Edmonton, Alberta

Position Status: Full Time (40 hrs per week), Permanent

Reporting to the Métis Family Resource Program Supervisor and as a part of the Children & Family Services department, the Métis Family Resource Program Implementation Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Métis Family Resource Program (MFRP). This could include cultural training, events, tracking the development of necessary resources, responding to community inquiries, and supporting other CFS initiatives within the Otipemisiwak Métis Government CFS Department. The successful applicant will have experience supporting programs and events, strong organizational, technological, writing, and interpersonal skills, and have strong relationship building abilities.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage intake and determine program eligibility for the Métis Family Resource Program (MFRP).
- Collect and organize appropriate information and documentation for program access.
- Create, maintain, and evaluate systems that will support the ongoing design, delivery, and evaluation of the MFRP.
- Calculate, track, request, and distribute accurate financial reimbursements based on program criteria, where required.
- Create and distribute brochures, pamphlets, and social media content to network the MFRP.
- Research, develop, and maintain cultural presentations and activities.
- Update and maintain a catalogue of resources for caregiver access.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external professionals and be a part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Facilitate cultural presentations to Child and Family Services staff and community organizations.
- Participate and represent the Otipemisiwak Métis Government in community engagement and other opportunities.
- Participate in departmental planning activities.
- Complete additional tasks as required.

- Political and cultural sensitivity.
- Knowledge of Métis history, culture, and issues affecting Métis people. An in-depth understanding of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government and Métis culture, people, and values.

**Qualifications**
- An academic or employment background in administration, Social Services, Community Services, and/or Children and Family Services is an asset.
- At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Working knowledge of the Child and Youth Enhancement Act, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and Protection of Personal Information Act.

**Other Requirements**
- Position will be based in Edmonton.
- Available to work weekends and evenings as required.
- Some travel within Alberta is required.
- Must have a Class 5 driver’s license and an operational vehicle.
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check required.
- Child Intervention Record Check required.
