Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout and specifications of structures
- Measure and mark surfaces to lay out work according to the design plans
- Build or repair walls, chimneys, fireplaces, patios, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto surfaces using a trowel
- Lay bricks or other masonry units in horizontal and vertical rows, ensuring that they are level and aligned
- Use various hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and trowels to shape, trim, and clean bricks or other materials
- Cut bricks or other materials to fit around windows, doors, corners, or other obstacles

**Experience**:

- Proven Minimum 5 years of experience as a Brick Mason or similar role
- Proficient in masonry techniques including laying bricks and blocks
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting schematics
- Ability to renovate, build, and restore structures using various masonry materials
- Experience operating heavy equipment for moving materials or operating power tools

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of masonry techniques and materials
- Proficient in reading blueprints and interpreting schematics
- Ability to operate heavy equipment for material movement (e.g. forklifts)
- Skilled in using power tools such as saws and drills for cutting and shaping materials
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing structures against moisture penetration
- Proficient in using hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and trowels for shaping and cleaning materials

**Salary**: $38.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- English not required

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- masonry: 5 years (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Greater Toronto Area, ON (required)
