**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Develop, implement, and oversee safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safe work practices and emergency procedures.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, training sessions, and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Utilize construction management software to track safety metrics and enhance reporting capabilities.

**Experience**
- Proven experience in a safety officer or similar role within the construction or industrial sector is preferred.
- First Aid Certification minimum level 2 is required.
- Strong understanding of WorkSafeBC regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey safety information to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying potential hazards and implementing effective solutions.

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
