**5C Group** is seeking a **Director of Construction** to join their growing team

**About the Role**:
The Construction Director leads the planning, design, and execution of construction projects across manufacturing plants, clean rooms, laboratories, and corporate facilities. With 7-10 years of progressive experience, the Director ensures projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in line with safety, quality, and sustainability standards. This role balances **hands-on project oversight with strategic leadership**, influencing infrastructure growth across both Canadian and U.S. operations.

**What You’ll Be Contributing**:

- Direct all phases of construction projects, including site selection, permitting, design coordination, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and commissioning.
- Develop and implement project execution strategies that align with corporate growth objectives and local regulations.
- Lead relationships with contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, and municipal authorities across multiple jurisdictions.
- Oversee the RFP and bid process; negotiate and manage high-value contracts.
- Monitor budgets and schedules, ensuring proactive risk management and issue resolution.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with Canadian and U.S. safety, environmental, and building code requirements.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders in Operations, Facilities, Manufacturing, EHS, and Finance to integrate construction plans into organizational strategy.
- Report on project milestones, risks, and capital investment opportunities to senior leadership.

**What Sets You Apart**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline. A Master’s degree or PMP certification is an asset.
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in construction project management, including **3-5 years in a leadership role**.
- Proven success leading large-scale industrial, manufacturing, or high-tech facility construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of Quebec construction laws, permitting, and building codes, with familiarity across U.S. regulations.
- Skilled in contract negotiation, budget management, and project delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with bilingual English/French proficiency strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in project management software and enterprise-level reporting tools.
