**Summary**

This role provides support to all residents and team members in the building. As such additional duties will be assigned as required.

**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Customer Service:

- Greet, assist and/or welcome residents, visitors, and the general public to the Residence.
- Arrange lunch for guests and notify Kitchen as needed
- Answer phone calls and direct to the appropriate person. Take messages and provide overall phone support for the Residence.
- Provide tours in the evenings and weekends for potential new residents.
- Complete COVID screening process for any visitors to the building.
- Receive mail and distribute through the building
- Receive newspapers for residents and deliver.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of tuck shop merchandise, collect money, maintain control, close and open tuck shop.

2. Administrative Support:

- Check fax machine twice per shift minimum and triage to appropriate person.
- Find replacement for staff call-ins as requested.
- Maintain Visitor and Health Care Provider books,
- Keep record of transfers to/from hospital, discharges, admissions, deaths. Keep all the lists up to date (employees, residents, etc.).
- Schedule appointments for DOC and GM
- Assist in organizing meetings, conferences, and teleconferences.
- Schedule space and equipment for special events, meetings or educational programs and prepare lists of participants
- Maintain the photocopier/fax machine to ensure that it is operational, arrange for repairs, cartridge replacement, and ensure that employees using the photocopier are familiar with its operation, tidy up the fax and photocopier area.

3. Health and Safety:

- Participate in overall Residence Health and Safety awareness and culture
- Participate in Emergency Plan and Drills - specific duties to announce fire alerts and emergencies, monitor fire panel as per SERR Emergency Plan
- Monitor camera security system throughout shift.
- Tidy and maintain the reception, lobby and tuck shop area (dust, defrost, clean, mop if wet, water flowers etc.).

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge in the office administration
- Possess an understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedure of the Residence

**Requirements**:

- Vulnerable Sector Police Screening
- Up-to-date Immunizations required in the Seniors Health Care Field (TB Skin test, COVID vacc.)
- Ability to read, write, speak English
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 30+ pounds
